Char Dham is one of the most popular pilgrimages Yatra which holds great faith among the devotees. Uttarakhnad is a beautiful state which is known for its religious importance and nature beauty. Yamunotri Temple: It is the source of River Yamuna and the seat of Goddess Yamuna. The destination is located in Uttarkashi District at a distance of 7 km from Janki Chatti with at an elevation of 4,421 mts above the sea level. The king of Tehri Garhwal was built the shrine in 19th century. It is one of the most visited in Chardham which is built in the left bank of Yamuna River. River Yanuma increase the charm of Yamunotri Shrine. Surya kund is the other major attraction which is dedicated to God Sun. She is the daughter of God Sun and sister of God Yama (god of death).
Gangotri Temple: It is dedicated to Goddess Ganga and situated on the bank of River Bhagirathi. The destination is located in uttarkashi district with at an elevation of 3200 mts above the sea level. Gaumukh glacier is the source of River Ganga. The world famous Gaumukh Glacier offered the best route of Trek which makes your tour excellent. The temple is made of white granite and attracted the tourists from all around the world. It is believed that once the king Bhagirathi did serious penance for impress the Goddess Ganga for ‘mokasha’ his ancestor. After that Goddess Ganga was agree to come down on the earth. The place where Goddess Ganga came first on earth called Bhagirathi River. Goddess Ganga got an important role in the heart of Devotees. Every year thousands of the devotees visit Gangotri to get the blessings. It is the second point of yatra.
Kedarnth Temple: It is one of the most important of Chardham which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is situated on the Rudrprayag district I the state of Uttarakhnad. Kedarnth Shrine was established by Pandavas and Adi Shankracharya was found the temple in 8th century. Kedarnath shrine is one of 12th jyotirlings and holds great important among the devotees. Mandakini River increased the charm of Temple. The Kedarnath is the highest temple of Lord Shiva and offered the 18 km beautiful trekking route from Gaurikund. Gaurikund is the last point or road connectivity and you will start trekking from Gaurikund to reach Kedarnath. In the form of Bull hump the lord Shiva is situated inside the temple and blessed the devotees. Gaurikund temple is another attraction of the place where the Goddess Parvati agreed to Lord Shiva for Marriage. Triyuginarayan Temple is situated near the Kedarnth temple this is the place where the Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married.
Badrinath Temple: It is dedicated Shrine to Lord Vishnu which is situated in the Chamoli district in the state of Uttarakhnad. Badrinath shrine is one of the highest in Chaedham. It is believed that a black idol made of shaligram of Lord Vishnu was found in the Alaknanda River. Adi Shankracharya was established the Badrinath temple in 9th century. The idol which is founded in Alaknanda River is in the meditation posture and flanked by Nar and Naryan. It also believed that Lord Vishnu was meditated here and his wife Goddess Laxmi converted herself into a berry tree to protect the Lord Vishnu for cold and heat. The temple is one of 108 Divya Desams of Lord Shiva. Badrinath dham is also one of Panch Badris namely –Yogdhyan Badri, Old Badri, Adi Badri and Bhavishya Badri. Inside the temple complex the other 15 idols are also in black marble. The amazing beauty of Badrinath Shrine attracts the tourists. The beautiful Pillars, amazing decorated roof and entrance increase the charm of Temple.
